Why aren’t my videos playing?

Browser Cache

If you run into issues watching videos, please clear the browser cache first and sign out and sign back in again. Also you can consider using incognito mode for Chrome or private browsing for Firefox, which will not have browser cache. If this approach does not work, try a different browser. We recommend Chrome, Firefox, or Safari. For more information on cleaning browser cache with specific steps for each browser, click here.

Buffering

Typically this is related to the network speed issue or the browser cache issue. You may need to perform a speed test, or refer to the Browser Cache section for troubleshooting.

Hardware Acceleration

If you are using the latest version of Chrome, sometimes turning off the “Hardware Acceleration” setting can fix your video issues. You can follow the steps below to turn off that setting.
Launch Chrome, then select “Menu” > “Settings“.

On the left side of the page select the “System” tab.
In the new tab, toggle “Use hardware acceleration when available” to off.

Video Player Permissions

If your organization maintains a geo-specific "Allow" list, please consult your IT department to add the following domains to ensure that videos and related assets from JW Player are not blocked:

I did not receive the password reset email. What should I do?

Check your spam or junk email folder for an email from [email protected]. If the email is not there, sometimes the password reset email gets caught at a higher level than spam/junk. You may need to contact your district's IT dept to ensure that email is allowed from [email protected].

My mini-course quiz says that I did not pass even though there is a green checkmark next to each answer.

This frequently happens when a question requires more than one correct response. Carefully review each question in the quiz to see if multiple responses are required.

I have finished a mini course. Do I receive some type of documentation that says I completed it? If so, where can I find it?

Once each video has been watched in its entirety and each quiz passed, navigate back to the main mini-course page. There you will find “Download Certificate” button. Clicking the Download Certificate button will initiate a pdf download of your certificate.
